Gregory Lindae has over 20 years experience in the capital markets, primarily in Private Markets with an emphasis in Private Equity. With experience on both the buy and sell side of the market he has invested both on a direct and a fund basis. His career started as a quantitative analyst for Solomon Brothers and BlackRock. He then started and ran both an early stage technology venture capital firm and an alternative investment fund of funds. Most recently Gregory has worked as consultant. His most recent project was analyzing a co-investment opportunity in transportation infrastructure regarding the sale by BAA of Edinburgh Airport to Global Infrastructure Partners. Additionally, to this he worked on the creation of a structured MTN backed by Brazilian FDIC senior and junior quotas for a London based Merchant Bank. He also recently worked with a Frontier Markets based PE firm on the launch of their Haiti based fund (whose anchor investors are IFC and FMO).  It was titled by IFC its “Investment of the Year”. He also worked on preliminary steps for launching additional funds in other locations like Miramar, Bangladesh, and Colombia, as well as Fund of Funds product. From 2008-2010 he worked with a PE firm in Boston both as advisor and on their investment committee for their fourth vintage fund and first secondaries funds. To date the TVPI is 1.7, with 12 investments and three realization events during its investment period. Prior to this he was the Portfolio Manager and founder of Sapient Asset Advisors, LLC (2002-2009) - an Alternative Investment Fund of Funds.  He achieved an annualized RoR exceeding his peer benchmark over a nearly 5 year period. From 1993- 2002, he was the Managing Principal of Castlerock Capital Ventures, LLC. His investment performance in early stage VC resulted in roughly a 53% IRR and a D/PI realization ratio of 17.78 over 10 years. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, attended graduate school at Columbia University, NYC in Financial Engineering, and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago, with Honors. He has his CFA charter.

Barry’s more than 30 years as a development economist began with lengthy hands-on experience in public finance and audit up to the highest levels in the Pacific.
